New Year, New Adventure. Chibi's Update

So I've been a total slacker with my updating. I have a whole bunch of pictures of :iconfred-chan: from a photoshoot we did in November. I'll get them up eventually, promise.
I've also got a busy year ahead of me. I'm moving out of my parents house and into my own apartment, so I can attend a school on the other coast of Florida. I'm really looking forward to starting up the photography program. It's kind of scary, but I'm really excited about the new adventure, and meeting new people. However, at least for the first month(maybe a little longer) I won't have internet at my place. This means I'll be online a lot less. I'll still be able to be reached through here, but my responses will probably be a lot slower than usual.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! <3
Take care!

Chibi's Update

Sorry about my lack of an actual update.
I've been meaning to post my fire show practice, and Metrocon pictures. BUT my photo editing program wants to warp my pictures instead of just letting me put my name on them. Which has been the reason for the delay. I've started school up again, but I promise I will get them up soon.
I think I'm done with conventions for the rest of the year (my con season should start again for Megacon 2010), but I'm not done with cosplay or photography for the year. I've started working on some costumes(it's really nice to not be under pressure for them), and I know I've got friends who need pictures of their costumes. I've also got a couple other little projects that might happen(but those will probably be posted on :iconsamesky:, since they aren't cosplay photos). I'm also thinking of organizing a photoshoot later in the year. If it's going to happen, I'll let you all know. It's an idea I've been bouncing around for a while now, but I want to work out the right location, and do a little more practice shooting before it happens. I'm rustier than I'd like to be with the camera. ^^; If I do plan a shoot, what area is best for you? I'm in the Pasco area, but I'm frequently in St. Pete/Tampa. I know a lot of cosplayers seem to be located in Orlando. I also have an area or two in mind, but if you know a great spot to shoot, I'm always open for suggestions. :]

Metrocon 2009

^^;
So who didn't do much of anything she planned? Yup. Me.
I did not cosplay. We over slept, and I had a fight with my contacts. Last time I fought with my contacts, I wore an eyepatch for two hours. So I went in jeans and a t-shirt. Oh well.
I also took very few pictures, and the ones I did take were mostly of ball-joint dolls. I got a couple cosplayers, but not very many. Saw a couple costumes I really wanted to grab shots of, but there was either an issue with them heading into an event, or I'd see them from another floor. Oh well.
I did enjoy watching the fire show. Didn't take any pictures of the actual show, but I do have some pictures from their practices that I'll get around to practicing.
I had a pretty decent time. AFO 2009 might be next on the list. We'll see how things go.
:]

Metrocon is right around the corner, so it's time for an update!
I'll only be there on Saturday, since I have to work on Friday and Sunday. I'm looking to take a lot more pictures than I took at Jacon, but we'll see how that goes. :iconxbluexvanillax: and I are planning on attending a BJD-meet up, to see the other pretties, and she needs to get rid of a pair of shoes. We will be attending with the rest of the Crayon Box(except our Green crayon...He can't make it). Not positive who the rest of the Crayons are cosplaying, but I'll be in school uniform Kairi. Partially because it's the comfiest and easiest to transport, and partially because :iconxbluexvanillax: wants me to be ridiculous with her. Hoedown Throwdown, anyone? :D

Who can I hope to see at the con?

Also- :iconanimefan-25: has a birthday coming up and I can't wait to celebrate with her!

Jacon 2009

Well. Despite some really stupid stuff happening(I mean seriously, pepper spray? Con goers were out for blood after that), I had a really good time at Jacon.
Mostly we just goofed off and amused ourselves, because it was hot, and the three of us cosplaying weren't really in costumes that did well in heat. The puppets (made by the Crayons own wonderful :iconallycataria:) were a total hit with Animusical Idol and we all had a really great time performing. We also had a really great time laughing with the Loveless group that performed, because they were seated in front of us, and they were a very amusing group(performance aside anyway. That was serious!). The puppets are also partially to blame for me not taking many pictures. Ciel limited my ability to take pictures(because fighting with my camera bag while wearing a giant cupcake is not an easy task), but I also spent a lot of time doing last minute stuff with them on Friday(rehearse rehearse!PLAY TIME!) and playing with them on Sunday(and randomly through out the weekend). So rather than taking lots of pictures like I'd planned, I ended up taking very few. They should be up within the next week. Probably. :]
Still, I enjoyed myself and I enjoyed seeing everyone, so I consider it to have been a good and successful weekend.
Hope everyone else had a fun time too!

EDIT:
Did you take a picture WITH the Kingdom Hearts puppets? If so, I'd love for you to share the pictures with me! It was a first con for one of our puppeteers, and a really fun experience for the rest of us, and I'd love to collect pictures of people with the puppets for our scrapbook. So if you took a picture with any or all of the the puppets, please pass them my way! Thanks!
